Scabies is a health problem caused by infestation of Sarcoptes scabiei mites on the skin due to poor personal hygiene practices. In Indonesia, scabies ranks third among 12 types of skin diseases and is often found in pesantren (Islamic boarding school) environments, leading to a decrease in concentration among students during the learning process due to the itching sensation caused by scabies. Scabies is the third most common skin disease and the most frequently reported skin disease in the Darul Arafah Deli Serdang boarding school. This study aims to analyzing the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and behavior regarding personal hygiene practices among students with scabies at Pondok Pesantren Darul Arafah Deli Serdang. This is a quantitative study with an observational analytical research design and a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 124 respondents, and the sample size was 55 respondents using the Taro Yamane formula and simple random sampling. Data was collected using questionnaires through interviews. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-Square test, and the results were presented in frequency distribution tables. The study found a relationship between (internal factor) knowledge and personal hygiene practices with p=0.048 < (α =0.05), a relationship between attitudes and personal hygiene practices with p=0.045 < (α =0.05), and a relationship between (external factor) sources of information and personal hygiene practices with p=0.000 < (α =0.05). There was also a relationship between dormitory support and personal hygiene practices with p=0.000 < (α =0.05), and a relationship between the role of the boarding school and personal hygiene practices with p=0.026 < (α =0.05). This study hopes to improve personal hygiene practices among students with scabies as an effort to control the occurrence of scabies in the pesantren environment.
