Hubungan Promosi K3 dengan Unsafe Action pada Pekerja Pemanen Kelapa Sawit di PT Ukindo Blankahan Estate Kecamatan Kuala Tahun 2023

Abstract

PT Ukindo Blankahan Estate is a company that operates in the palm oil plantation and producer of palm oil, where fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of palm are processed into Crude Palm Oil that meets ISPO (Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil) standards. Based on the accident data that occurred at PT Ukindo Blankahan Estate, it can be seen that on average, work accidents occur due to unsafe actions by workers. In 2014, there were 4 cases of accidents, in 2015 there were 2 cases, in 2016 there was 1 accident, in 2021 there were 21 cases, and in 2022, there were 4 cases of work accidents recorded from January to June. This study is a quantitative research with an explanatory/analytical survey approach, which aims to explain the causal relationship between variables through hypothesis testing, namely the relationship between the independent variable (K3 promotion) and the dependent variable (unsafe action) of palm harvester workers at PT. Ukindo Blankahan Estate. The The sample size consisted of 56 workers. The results showed that two of the three forms of K3 promotion studied had a significant relationship with unsafe actions, namely K3 information communication (p = 0.002) and K3 signs (p = 0.000), while one form of K3 promotion that was not related to unsafe actions was the K3 month event (p = 0.698). The company's management is expected to revive K3 month activities and increase the participation of palm harvester employees.
