dc.description.abstract | Worldwide consumption of petroleum and other liquids has increased from 93.81 million barrels per day (in 2015) to 96.78 million barrels per day (2017).With the condition that the availability of fossil energy is dwindling, it is necessary to take steps to reduce fuel consumption, namely by using computer-based simulation applications. The use of computers is an effort to improve the quality of research, reduce costs and reduce the use of fossil fuels. Then the process design of the internal combustion engine is carried out to obtain the value of the effective power that can be produced by 3 variations of fuel, namely Bio Solar, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex. For Bio-diesel fuel, the effective power value is 1,11346 kW, the torque is 6.64 N, the specific fuel consumption is 714.04 gr/kWh, and the thermal efficiency value is 10.8%. For Dexlite fuel, the value of effective power is 1.44018 kW, torque is 8.6 N, specific fuel consumption is 551.82 gr/kWh, and thermal efficiency is 13.78%. Then on Pertamina Dex fuel obtained a effective power value of 1,73236 kW, a torque of 10.36 N, a specific steel consumption of 458.32 gr/kWh, and a thermal efficiency value of 16.08% | en_US |
