Gambaran College Adjustment pada Mahasiswa Angkatan 2021 Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Sumatera Utara
Abstract
College adjustment or self-adjustment in higher education is an effort made by students to be able to balance their individual needs with the demands of higher education which consists of four dimensions, namely academic adjustment, social adjustment, personal emotional adjustment and attachment to higher education so that balance occurs. This research aims to find out what college adjustment looks like for students of the Class of 2021, Faculty of Psychology, University of North Sumatra. This research uses a quantitative research method with a sampling method, namely nonprobability sampling with a total sampling design. Respondents were all 203 active students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of North Sumatra, class of 2021. Data were collected using a college adjustment scale Cronbach alpha 0,905. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis methods to see the average college adjustment score. The research results showed that the majority of students' college adjustment levels were at the medium level, 180 people (88.66%), followed by the high level, 18 people (8.88%) and the low level, 5 people (2.46%).
