dc.description.abstractInternet addiction is a dependent behavior on internet use that exceeds reasonable limits. This study aims to look at the tendency of internet addiction and the negative impact it has on USU Faculty of Psychology students who are working on their thesis. There were 155 students who were the subject of this study. Research subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique. This internet addiction research uses two measurement tools, the first is the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) scale, and the second is a self report of the impact of internet addiction which consists of six negative impacts including nomophobia, fear of missing out (FoMO), social interaction disorder, phubbing, delayed duties and responsibilities as well as health problems. The results showed that 51% (79) of students had mild internet addiction, 41% (65) of students had moderate internet addiction, and 8% (11) of students had severe internet addiction.en_US
