dc.description.abstract | Students have the task of starting to think about and prepare for the future, namely their career path. By preparing a good career path, it will be easier for students to find work or achieve a career. Students who have not yet reached career maturity will be more vulnerable to experiencing difficulties in choosing a career or job. One of the factors that plays a role in a person's career maturity is their level of future time perspective. Based on the phenomenon, it was found that students in Medan City generally still feel doubts about the choice of career and job to do. In fact, career maturity is an important thing that should be prepared for since a student's first year at university. This research aims to analyze the role of future time perspective on career maturity in first year students in the city of Medan. The research method used is a quantitative method, with the sample being active first-year students aged 18–25 studying in Medan City; namely, in this study, there were 113 people. Researchers conducted hypothesis testing using simple linear regression to see the role of future perspectives on career maturity. Based on the results of the research analysis, it was found that future perspective plays a significant role in a positive direction towards career maturity, with a role of 95%. | en_US |
