Peran Adversity Quotient terhadap Kematangan Karir Siswa SMKS Teruna Padangsidimpuan

Abstract

Career maturity is a person's ability to make decisions to prepare for a future career. Individuals who plan careers include vocational students. Vocational students will face obstacles or difficulties in planning a career. The abilities that can make students able to face difficulties in planning a career, one of which is the adversity quotient. Adversity quotient is the intelligence that a person has in overcoming difficulties and surviving. This study aims to determine whether there is a role of adversity quotient on the career maturity of SMKS Teruna Padangsidimpuan. The sample in this study amounted to 204 students. The sampling technique used is proportionate random sampling. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using adversity quotient scale measuring instruments based on Stoltz theory (2000) and career maturity scale based on Super theory (2014). The statistical method used in this study is a simple linear regression analysis. The results of this research data analysis are p values (0.000) < 0.05, so that the role of adversity quotient on the career maturity of SMKS Teruna Padangsidimpuan students is obtained.
