Background. Pressure Injury, also known as a pressure sore, is a frequently occurring health issue in healthcare environments, especially within hospitals. It represents damage to the skin and underlying tissues caused by excessive pressure, friction, or a combination of both, primarily affecting areas of the body subjected to continuous pressure. The primary risk factors for Pressure Injury involve patients' inability to regularly change body positions, a condition that can be exacerbated by specific medical conditions or mobility limitations. In a hospital setting, patients are often confined to beds or wheelchair, increasing the risk of Pressure Injury. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of risk factors, prevention, and effective management of Pressure Injury is crucial for enhancing the quality of patient care in hospitals. Objective.
