    Abstract
Background. Breast cancer is a condition where cells in the breast experience uncontrolled growth as a result of mutations that occur in these cells. Cancer incidence in Indonesia is more common in women than in men. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women with a cancer incidence rate of 65,858 cases, where the incidence of this cancer often occurs in young women. Methods. This study is a descriptive observational study with a cross sectional research design, which was conducted from September to November. The data collection method is a document study method by collecting patient medical record data at the Hajj Adam Malik Hospital and Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital in 2020-2023. Objective. This study was conducted to determine the incidence of breast cancer in young women as well as its clinical and histopathological features. Results and Discussion. From the study, a total of 102 breast cancer patients were obtained with the highest age distribution in the 40-year-old age group as many as 28 people (27.5%). The most common case, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, with 101 cases (99.0%). From a clinical point of view, the majority of patients with stage IIIB were found in 32 cases (31.4%) and the clinical presentation was found a lump in the breast in 100 cases (98.0%). The results of histopathological examination shows the majority grade, grade 3, with 67 cases (65.7%), and from the IHC examination, the most common results were ER negative 73 cases (71.6%), PR negative 81 cases (79.4%), and HER-2 negative 71 cases (69.6%). Conclusion. From this study it can be concluded that breast cancer in younger age is more aggressive because it has a larger tumor size and high histopathological grade with poor cell differentiation.
