dc.description.abstractIntroduction. Dermatophytosis is a fungal infection that commonly occurs on human skin, hair and nails. Objective. This study aims to determine the profile of dermatophytosis and demographics at the Skin and Venereology Clinic, Prof. Hospital. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis University of North Sumatra in 2020- 2022. Method. This research is a retrospective descriptive study using data on dermatophytosis patients from medical records at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis University of North Sumatra in 2020-2022. Results and Discussion. The results obtained from this study were that the most cases affected by dermatophytosis were Tinea corporis with 41.9% of cases. In this study, there were more female patients suffering from dermatophytosis than males with 61.3% of cases. For treatment in this study, patients suffering from dermatophytosis mostly consumed ketoconazole with 59.7% of cases. Patients suffering from dermatophytosis with profession/occupation criteria are in the non-working group, namely 33.9% of cases. Patients suffering from dermatophytosis according to the most age criteria are adults aged 45-64 years with 40.3% of cases. Patients suffering from dermatophytosis based on the affected location are in the inguinal area with 37.1% of cases. Patients suffering from dermatophytosis based on the criteria for DM comorbidities found the highest position. Conclusion. The most common type of tinea infection in patients suffering from dermatophytosis is tinea corporis, the most infected gender is women rather than men, the type of drug consumed by dermatophytosis sufferers is ketoconazole. The profession most infected is not working, then the age most affected by dermatophytosis is 45-64 years old, the location most infected is the groin area and the most dominant comorbidity in dermatophytosis patients is DM.en_US
