    Abstract
Introduction : Antibiotics are used for the treatment of wound healing, but some antibiotics have developed microbial resistance. Therefore, a more effective drug treatment is needed to inhibit microbes. Traditionally, putri malu leaf and klanceng honey have been used as wound healing therapies. Aim : This research aims to formulate a combination gel preparation of Putri Malu Leaf Ethanol Extract (EEDPM) and Klanceng Honey (MK) for healing cut wounds in rabbits. Methode : An antibacterial activity test was performed to obtain the best combination of EEDPM:MK. The combination with ratios 9:1 (F1), 8:2 (F2), and 7:3 (F3) were selected because they have the highest antibacterial activity. The stability of the preparation, cycling test, organoleptic, pH, spreadability, viscosity, homogeneity, and irritation tests were evaluated. The rabbits were subject to incision wounds and divided into six groups: the group without treatment, the negative control, the positive control, F1, F2, and F3. The wounds were observed macroscopically and microscopically. Result : All gels were stable and met the evaluation requirements. The best antibacterial activity on Staphylococcus aureus was F1, with an inhibitory zone of 13.77 ± 0.29 mm. Gel combination F1 was the best formula compared to the other trial formula group, with the highest % reduction in the wound of 58.5%. In the treatment with F1, the lowest number of fibroblasts was 18.22 ± 0.83, and the smallest amount of blood vessels was 3.00 ± 1.80. F1 showed a very close collagen fusion result. Based on Ducan's statistical tests, there are significant differences between the number of fibroblasts, number of blood vessels, and collagen fibers between F1 compared to F2 and F3, without treatment and negative control. Conclusion : The gel combination of the ethanol extract of Putri Malu leaves, and Klanceng honey shows good characteristics and stability, and it can accelerate the healing of incision wounds in rabbits.
