Divorce parents have a negative impact on the parties involved, especially for
children. A significant impact was found in adolescence. The feelings of sadness,
disappointment, anger, helplessness, and hopelessness that teenagers have
because of divorce result in the emergence of ideas to end their lives. This study
wants to see a picture of suicidal ideation in adolescent victims of parental
divorce. The method used in this study is qualitative with a phenomenological
approach. The non-probability sampling technique used in this study was
incidental sampling. The results of this study indicate that there are suicidal
ideation in 3 research respondents. The pain is so deep that it makes life
meaningless and futile. The three respondents also made plans to end their lives
in various ways, such as drinking poison, participating in fights and cutting their
hands. The respondent's efforts to survive and deal with this problem are very low
and there is almost no intention to live anymore. The reasons for the
disappearance of suicidal ideation are caused by perceptions of family social
support, perceptions of peer social support, religiosity, optimism and adaptive
coping strategies
