Adolescents living in orphanages go through a period of change together with other children who have different backgrounds. Parental love and presence are needed in dealing with changes in adolescence that are different from adolescents in orphanages replaced by orphanage mothers. The conditions experienced and changes in adolescents in orphanages affect the formation of their hope. Hope can be obtained from social support, religious beliefs, and control. The Christian Orphanage uses a Christian religious approach to shape Christian character and values through religiosity activities for children in the orphanage. The religiosity activities carried out every day encourage adolescents living in Christian Orphanages to have hope. Having hope has a positive impact on helping adolescents living in Christian orphanages to have motivation and life goals, help make decisions, develop self-ability, overcome obstacles and failures, increase self-esteem, and develop a more positive self-identity. This study aims to look at the overview of hope in adolescents living in Christian orphanages. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative study method. The participants in this study consisted of 3 people who had the criteria of a teenager living in a Christian orphanage. The data collection of this study used a semi-structured interview method. The results of this study indicate that the three participants have hope that fulfill the aspects of Goals, Willpower, and Waypower in the presence of sources obtained through social support, religious beliefs, and control.
