dc.description.abstractGratitude is a positive emotion that expresses happiness and a sense of thanks for all the goodness received and develops into a good attitude or habit which can make a person feel comfortable and increase their motivation. Self-regulated learning itself is a strategy used by students to be able to regulate learning activities independently by involving metacognition, behavior, and motivation in achieving their study goals. This study use 97 participants which contain the whole population. Data collection was done by giving questionnaires which contain measuring instruments from the self-regulated learning scale based on Zimmerman (1986) theory and the gratitude scale based on Emmons (2002) theory. The statistical method used in this study is linear regression analysis. The result of data analysis proven p value (0.001) < 0.05 which means there’s a role of gratitude on self-regulated learning towards high school students who lives in Al-Washliyah Pulo Brayan Medan orphanage.en_US
