The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between forgiveness and subjective well-being in young adults who have experienced a breakup. The method used in this study is a cross-sectional correlational quantitative method with convenience sampling technique. The number of participants in this study was 1700 early adult individuals 18–30 years old (M = 21.9, SD = 2.95) who experienced a breakup in the past 6 months from all over Indonesia. The data collection method used three scales, namely Transgression-Related Interpersonal Motivations (TRIM-18), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and Scale of Positive and Negative Experiences (SPANE). The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results of this study explain that there is a significant positive relationship between forgiveness and subjective well-being with a value of (r (1698) = .139, p < .001, r 2 = .019).en_US
