This research aims to determine the relationship between Social Media Addiction and Self-disclosure in early adulthood. This research used 213 respondents as subjects (x̄ x̄ =21.7 years, SD=1.39). The method used in this research is a correlational quantitative method with data collection methods using a Likert scale, namely the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale with 18 items developed by Andreassen (2012) and modified by researchers to measure social media addiction. Then to measure self-disclosure, researchers used the Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (RSDS) modified by Wheeless & Grotz (1976). Next, the researchers adapted the measuring tool to Indonesian. The data obtained was processed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis technique. Based on the research results, the correlation coefficient value was r=-0.227 with a value of p=0.001 (p<0.05). The research results show that there is a negative relationship between social media addiction variables and self-disclosure in early adulthood.en_US
