Karakterisasi Papan Komposit Berbahan Serbuk Gergaji Kayu dan Serat Daun Nanas dengan Resin Polyester
Abstract
Research has been carried out on the characterization of composite boards made from pineapple leaf fiber wood sawdust and polyester resin, with the characterization carried out including physical tests, mechanical tests and microstructural tests. Composite boards are made with 6 different composition variations. Then printed on a hot press for 30 minutes at 90°C. The physical characteristics test consists of density test values, porosity, and water absorption test values. Mechanical property testing consists of elastic modulus test, fracture modulus test, and microstructure analysis with SEM-EDX. produces maximum and minimum density values of 1.275 gr/cm³ and 0.309 gr/cm³, maximum and minimum porosity values of 0.356% and 0.282%, maximum and minimum water absorption values of 0.345% and 0.269%, maximum elastic modulus values found in the sample B is 15,377 MPa and the minimum value in sample A is 3,457 MPa. The maximum modulus of fracture is 12.791 MPa for sample B, the minimum value for sample A is 3.457 MPa, the maximum compressive strength value is 1.5413 MPa for sample B, and the minimum value for sample A is 0.5591 MPa. With testing density, porosity, and modulus of fracture that has met the standards of SNI 03 - 2105 - 2006, while testing the modulus of elasticity and compressive strength still does not meet the standards of SNI 03 - 2105 - 2006.
