dc.description.abstract | Poor waste management in temporary shelters will cause environmental pollution. The high volume of waste is directly proportional to the high production of CO2 which has an impact on climate change. The high volume of waste causes scavengers to be at risk of injury while working. The aim of this researched is to analyze the process of waste management and health complaints of scavengers in temporary shelters. The methodology in this study was a descriptive study conducted from November 2022 to January 2023. There were 57 respondents in this study, the most respondents were in the age range 35-55 years, namely 38 people (66.67%), male. as many as 41 people (71.92%). The results of personal hygiene research by scavengers showed that 49 people (85.96%) had good skin hygiene, 50 people (87.72%) had poor hand, nail and foot hygiene, 55 people (96, 72%) had good clothing cleanliness. 49%), scavengers did not use personal protective equipment 51 people (89.47%). Waste management at the temporary shelter in Sunggal District is in the bad category.
