Hubungan Pengetahuan dan Teman Sebaya dengan Perilaku Seksual Remaja di SMA Unggulan Al-Azhar Medan Tahun 2023

Abstract

Sexual behavior is any behavior that is driven by sexual desire, both against the opposite sex and the other. Adolescent sexual behavior is inseparable from the manifestation of behavior, where the formation of behavior is influenced by a person's knowledge, attitudes and actions. Knowledge alone is not enough to change and understand adolescent sexual behavior, it also needs external factors, which can include peers. Peer association can influence positive and negative behavior. Negative behavior is sexual behavior that is carried out without going through an official marriage process and according to the law, religion and beliefs of each. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and peers with adolescent sexual behavior at SMA Unggulan AL Azhar Medan in 2023. This type of research uses quantitative research with a Cross Sectional approach. Sampling technique using Proportional random sampling method with a sample size of 80 people. Data analysis using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi Square statistical test The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between peers and adolescent sexual behavior at SMA Unggulan Al Azhar Medan with a p value = 0.036 and there is no relationship between knowledge and adolescent sexual behavior at SMA Unggulan Al Azhar Medan with a p value = 0,589. This research is expected for students to increase knowledge about sexual behavior in adolescents and students can also provide positive things to their peers so that they do not easily fall into negative things that cause sexual behavior.
