dc.description.abstractResealrch hals been calrried oult on malking polymer concrete ulsing al composition raltio: salnd, walter hyalcinth fiber alnd epoxy resin to determine the effect of aldding walter hyalcinth fiber on the physicall alnd mechalnicall properties of polymer concrete. There alre valrialtions in the composition of salnd (60,58,56,54,52) gr, epoxy resin (25.30) gr alnd walter hyalcinth fiber (15,17,19,21,23 alnd 10,12,14,16,18) gr. The dimensions of the test salmple alre malde in the form of blocks (10×2×1) cm. Salmple malking wals calrried oult in foulr stalges. The first stalge is to clealn alnd dry the hyalcinth hyalcinth. In the second stalge, the salnd alnd walter hyalcinth fiber alre groulnd alnd then filtered ulsing al 100 mesh sieve. In the third stalge, salnd alnd walter hyalcinth fiber alre mixed with epoxy resin. The foulrth stalge, the homogeneouls mixtulre of malterialls is then pult into the mold alnd then hot pressed alt al temperaltulre of 90°C for 20 minultes ulsing the hotpress method. The test palralmeters calrried oult inclulde: density, walter albsorption, porosity, flexulrall strength, compressive strength alnd tensile strength. The resullts of the resealrch show thalt al good mixtulre alccording to the resealrch is al walter hyalcinth fiber composition with al raltio of (10,12,14,16,18) gr with al density of 1.46 gr/cm3, porosity of 1.9%, walter albsorption of 1 .29%, compressive strength of 20.45 MPal, tensile strength of 8.5 MPal alnd flexulrall strength of 4.93 MPal. It caln be conclulded thalt the polymer concrete produlced is lightweight concrete thalt is waltertight alnd hals high compressive strength.en_US
