The BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) collects statistics on injuries and illnesses in welding accidents and revealed that there are 21 welding accidents in the United States for every 100,000 workers. According to the BLS, for every 100 million hours worked, about 1,000 workers suffer welding injuries. That's a hundred times worse than the average injury rate for all other workers.
