    Abstract
Indonesia is ranked seventh as the country with the most diabetes in the world, therefore it is important to adopt a healthy lifestyle to prevent diabetes for Indonesian people. This study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge, perceived susceptibility and family support with diabetes prevention behavior in at-risk populations at the Amplas Community Health Center. This research uses a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were all people aged 30-60 years who were in the working area of the Amplas Health Center. A research sample of 210 was taken using cluster sampling. The risk level was measured using the FINDRISC questionnaire while the variables of knowledge, perceived vulnerability, family support, and diabetes prevention behavior were measured using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The risk level of most respondents was at a slightly increased risk level as much as 35.7 percent, most respondents had good knowledge as much as 72.9 percent but had a poor perception of susceptibility as much as 68.6 percent and had good family support as much as 52.9 percent, with the highest proportion of diabetes prevention behavior having behavior in the poor category as much as 89 percent. The results of bivariate tests using Chi-square showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.035) and family support (p=0.010) with diabetes prevention behavior, but there was no relationship between perceived susceptibility (p=0.075) and diabetes prevention behavior. It is recommended that the public be willing to seek information about T2DM and its prevention. It is also hoped that the Amplas Community Health Center will intensively carry out screening using the FINDRISC questionnaire and also promote health related to the importance of preventing diabetes.
