The main problem in a region is increasing population growth, where the percentage of active family planning participants is 69.13% at the Medan Sunggal Community Health Center which experienced the largest decrease in the number of participants using implants from 2021-2023. This study aims to determine the influence of maternal knowledge and attitudes, as well as the role of health workers in the use of long-term contraceptive methods (MKJP) in the work area of UPT Puskesmas Medan Sunggal. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach and sampling in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 66 PUS mothers. The data collected using a questionnaire instrument, apart from that, interviews were also conducted with mothers who were family planning recipients to provide additional data. Data analysis was carried out using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis and multivariate tests. The number of mothers who used MKJP was 44 mothers, while 22 mothers used non-MKJP family planning. The characteristics of the 66 respondents were generally 40-45 years old, with the highest education being high school, occupation being housewife, and number of children between 3-5 children. The bivariate results show that knowledge and the role of health energy have no influence on the use of long-term contraceptive methods because the p value is 0.852 and 0.236 (> 0.05), while attitude has an influence on the use of MKJP because the p value is 0.006 < p 0.05. In the multivariate test concluded that the most influential influence on the use of MKJP was attitude, because the exp(B) value was 5.400 and the p value was 0.09 <0.05. Suggestions for community health centers and the community to work together to increase mothers' knowledge and attitudes towards the use of MKJP through socialization or counseling, and for future researchers to develop research using different methods and variables from previous research.en_US
