    Analisis Pengetahuan dan Kondisi Sanitasi Lingkungan serta PHBS di SMPN 1 Pantai Cermin Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Tahun 2023

    Abstract
    Poor school environmental conditions can pose a risk of disease, so an examination of school environment is needed to maintain a healthy school environment to create a clean and healthy living behavior in students. This study aims to analyze the condition of school environmental sanitation, students' knowledge about environmental sanitation, students' clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), and students' health complaints at SMPN 1 Pantai Cermin, Serdang Bedagai Regency in 2023. This type of research is descriptive with an observational approach. The population in this study were all students at SMPN 1 Pantai Cermin. The research sample was class VII, VIII, and IX students totaling 90 students with the sampling method using proportional stratified random sampling method. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in tables and narratives. The results showed that majority of students were 13 years old with 34 students (37.8%), and the majority of students were female with 52 students (57.8%). The condition of environmental sanitation at SMPN 1 Pantai Cermin has met the existing requirements according to Indonesian Minister of Health Decree No.1429/Menkes/SK/XII/2006 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of School Environmental Health with score of 74.6%. The level of knowledge of students about environmental sanitation is in the good category (66.7%), in the sufficient category (28.9%), and the less category (4.4%). The level of implementation of PHBS was in the good category (65.6%), and the sufficient category by (34.4%). The most common health complaints were respiratory health complaints (44.4%), followed by digestive health complaints (26.7%) and the least experienced by students were skin health complaints (22.2%). It is recommended to the school to improve environmental sanitation conditions that still do not meet school environmental health requirements and provide insight to students regarding the application of PHBS so that students understand and participate in maintaining their health.
