| dc.description.abstract | The housing problem continues to be a major issue faced by the Indonesian government. One of the programs run by the government in an effort to tackle uninhabitable houses is the house renovation program. House renovation is a social welfare program for low-income people or the poor to create livable houses. This research aims to see and describe how the responsiveness of the local government in tackling uninhabitable houses through the house renovation program in Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency.
This research uses the theory of public services and responsiveness to examine the implementation of the house renovation program in tackling uninhabitable houses in Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The data and information obtained were analyzed qualitatively using Zeithaml's responsiveness theory approach which includes 6 indicators, namely, ability to respond, speed of service, accuracy of service, accuracy of service, timeliness and ability to respond.
The results of the study indicate that the responsiveness of the local government in overcoming uninhabitable houses through the house renovation program in Pollung sub-district, Humbang Hasundutan district, according to Zeithaml's theory of responsiveness is good but not optimal. Because judging from the accuracy of serving, it is not entirely good and far from perfect in the implementation of the house renovation program with a selection that is not transparent and fair. In contrast to the indicators of ability to respond, speed of service, accuracy of service, timeliness and ability to respond that are good. Therefore, it is recommended that local governments improve their performance and coordination, pay attention to accuracy and guidance, and continue to supervise and be willing to accept input or criticism. | en_US |
