dc.description.abstractThe phenomenon that occurs in Sipinsur Geosite tourism in Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra is known that the process of providing information (promotion) of tourist attractions at the Tourism Culture Office of Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra is still slow to carry out or in the sense that the process of promoting tourist sites is still word of mouth. . So that it still does not attract the attention of local and foreign tourists. Based on this, to see how the promotion was carried out by the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports and Tourism on the Sipinsur Geosite Tourism Object, the authors raised the title "Cultural Strategy of the Office of Culture, Youth and Sports and Tourism in Humbang Hasundutan Regency in Promoting the Sipinsur Geosite Tourism Object. This study uses a qualitative approach. In this research, the researcher acts as an instrument as well as a data collector. The procedures used in data collection are: Observation, Interview, and Documentation, which are as follows. The promotion strategy for the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports and Tourism in promoting the Sipinsur Geosite tourism object in Humbang Hasundutan district, North Sumatra Province is a strategy for cultural empowerment and a strategy for improving facilities. The role of the Culture, Youth and Sports Service Institutions as well as Humbang Hasundutan Regency Tourism in Promoting the Sipinsur Geosite Tourism Object, namely; (1). Prioritization of Infrastructure Development; (2). Sustainable Infrastructure Planning ; (3). Development of Supporting Facilities; (4). Management of the environment ; (5). Collaboration with Related Parties; (6). Local Community Empowerment; (7). Supporting Events and Festivals; (8). Develop Accessibility; (9). Increased Security and Convenience; (10). Tour Guide Support; (11). Monitoring and Maintenance; (12). Digital Accessibility Support. The obstacles faced were budget constraints, limited human resources and lack of local community participation.en_US
