    Abstract
Metal compound in dust and road dust distribution patterns on the Belawan highway. Research was conducted by filtering road dust with a size of 100 mesh and 200 mesh mesh, characterizcharacterized using X Ray Fluorescence (XRF) to know the metal in dust. Then test tested metal concentration in dust specifically using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer ( AAAS Metal destruction using wet digestion was then analyzed with wavelengths of iron 234.3 nm, alumin i um 309.3, chromium 357.7 nm. It means concentration of iron, alumin i um, and chromium metals in dust is 202.86 mg/L , 1050 mg/L , 1.54 mg/L . Meanwhile dust concentration is measured using impinger. Sampling was carried out at distance 50 meters, 100 meters and 150 meters from Belawan highway intersection and found that dust concentration are 28447,1 μ g/ m3, 28449,5 μ g/ m3, and 6096,3 μ g/ m3 Then the prediction of dust concentration was carried out using the disperse Gaussian line source equation by based oon meteorological data obtained from the Belawan Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency ( The results of this research showed that the highest dust concentration was at a distance of 50 m with 1454,86 μ g/ m3 followed by a distance of 100 m with a concentration of 5 574,74 μ g/ m3 and a distance of 150 m with a concentration of 283,16 μ g / m3, this happens because it is affected by various factors, namely the distance and speed of the vehicle, the type of vehicle and and the number of vehicles vehicles, wind, atmospheric stability and temperature during the analysis process.
