dc.description.abstractThis study aims to compare negative binomial discrete distributions with geometric distributions using the empirical likelihood ratio test. To see a comparison of the two distributions through simulations using the R language programming. The value parameters estimation of the second distribution parameter using the method of maximum likelihood. The estimation results of the parameters are subsidized for testing using the empirical likelihood ratio test. Based on the simulation results, it is known that the geometric distribution is better than the binomial negative distribution.en_US
