Hubungan antara Religiusitas dengan Regulasi Emosi Mahasiswa yang sedang Menyusun Skripsi
Abstract
Emotion regulation is related to how emotions themselves are regulated (the formation of emotions that a person has, when a person has them, and how a person experiences or expresses these emotions (Gross, in Mevlani, 2018). One of the factors that influences individuals in regulating emotions is religiosity. According to Glock and Stark (Dewi, 2012), religiosity is an institutionalized system of symbols, belief systems, value systems and behavioral systems, which are centered on issues that are experienced as the most meaningful (ultimate meaning). This research aims to determine the relationship positive relationship between religiosity and emotional regulation in students who are writing their theses at the University of North Sumatra using research subjects of 160 respondents using a non-probability sampling technique using the convenience sampling method. The data collection method uses a psychological scale, namely an emotional regulation scale arranged based on dimensions. emotional regulation proposed by Gross and John (2003), and a religiosity scale compiled based on the dimensions of religiosity proposed by Stark and Glock (1998). The data analysis used is the Spearman Rank statistical test method. The research results show that there is a significant positive relationship between religiosity and emotional regulation in students who are writing their theses at the University of North Sumatra. This means that the higher the level of religiosity, the higher the level of emotional regulation. Conversely, the lower the level of religiosity, the lower the level of emotional regulation.
