dc.description.abstract | Hypertension is a chronic medical condition in which arterial blood pressure is elevated. It is diagnosed when blood pressure is persistently elevated, i.e. ≥140 mm Hg systolic blood pressure and ≥90 mm Hg diastolic blood pressure. The purpose of this writing is to analyze nursing care for patients with hypertension in Rengas Pulau Village, Medan Marelan District. The method used is a case study approach in 1 patient with hypertension, female sex and 58 years old. The case study was conducted for 3 weeks from 10-28 July 2023 using the nursing analysis process starting from assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Nursing problems obtained are acute pain and lack of information. The main implementation that has been carried out in acute pain is to perform non-pharmacological measures of warm compress therapy for 10 minutes. The results obtained were a decrease in the level of the pain scale from a scale of 5 to 0. The conclusion from this case study is that clients with hypertension who experience acute pain problems can be given the main intervention by carrying out non-pharmacological actions by means of warm compresses so that they can reduce the pain scale. | en_US |
