Abstract

Nursing services are an integral part of health services which is a reflection of the succes of health services in hospital. The main indicator of the quality of health services in hospitals is patient safety. Nurse is a profession that really needs occupational health and safety. Infection prevention and control is of particular concern because the incidence of infection in hospitals is considered a serious problem because it threatens the health and safety of patients and healthcare workers globally. This study aims to determine the implementation of nursing services on infection prevention and control in nurses. The media used is in the form of posters. The results showed that the implementation of infection prevention nad control in the mahoni meranti inpatient room had not been carried out optimally. This is evidanced by the observations made by the authors who still found errors in PPI prevention such as when performing nursing services not changing the handscone when carrying out actions from one patient to another, other patients and separation of inappropriate linens.
