    Abstract
This study aims to analyze metal concentration in road dust suspension resuspension and Gaussian method to predict the distribution and concentration of dust on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Medan City. Metal concentration analysis focuses on ferrous metals (Fe ), zinc (Zn ), and copper (Cu). Road dust samples are collected using a vacuum cleaner and a simple impinger. Metal concentration testing uses atomic absorption spectrophotometry (SSA) and characterization using X-Ra y Fluoresence (XRF) with sizes of 100 mesh and 200 mesh to determine the elements present in the sample. Prediction of dust concentration and dust distribution using the Gaussian method by paying attention to meteorological data obtained from the Medan City Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The results in this study showed that the concentration of each metal Fe, Zn, and Cu using SSA was 274,8 mg/L; 7,43 mg/L; and 2,80 mg/L. The direction of dust distribution on Jalan Sisingamangaraja predominantly blows from west to northeast. In the Gaussian method, the concentration of dust produced at a distance of 50 m is 128,5138 µg/m3; distance of 100 m of 29,4030 µg/m3; and a distance of 150 m of 10,3989 µg/m3. In direct measurements, the concentration of dust in the air at a distance of 50 m was 350,810.05 µg/m3; distance of 100 m of 266,828.21 µg/m3; and a distance of 150 m of 258,750.01 µg/m3. This research can be used as a basis for pollutant control measures and understanding knowledge about the distribution of pollutants to the surrounding community.
