dc.description.abstract | Chronic kidney failure is a condition where there is a gradual and irreversible decline in kidney function with the number of patients always increasing every year whose treatment requires therapy in the form of dialysis. Patients with chronic kidney failure experience anxiety caused by fear of the conditions they are experiencing. Positive five-finger relaxation therapy in patients with chronic kidney failure can reduce anxiety felt while undergoing hemodialysis so that it can improve their quality of life. The aim of this senior practicum is to apply concepts and direct practice to patients managing holistic caring-based nursing care by providing five-finger relaxation therapy to reduce anxiety in chronic kidney failure patients. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a case study approach in one chronic kidney failure patient in the Hemodialysis Room at Prof.dr. Hospital. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis, University of North Sumatra, Medan, using the observation sheet guidelines. Caring is a common component as a professional nurse, it is important to understand the client's culture. Caring is very personal so that the expression of caring for each client is different. Nursing care of clients with anxiety problems in the Hemodialysis Room, Prof .dr. Hospital Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis, University of North Sumatra, Medan on 13-17 July 2023. The results obtained showed signs of anxiety symptoms and a nursing diagnosis was formulated, namely anxiety. The nursing plan is that the client can use the new adaptive coping with five finger relaxation therapy. The evaluation results obtained are that the client can use a new adaptive coping with five finger relaxation therapy. The conclusion of the results shows that there is compatibility between the findings of the researchers, the findings of other researchers and the existing theory from assessment to evaluation. | en_US |
