Gout Arthritis is a disease caused by a buildup of uric acid (monosodium urate) that enters the joint cavity. Uric acid is formed when the body eats foods that contain lots of purines. Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism which originates from internal and external metabolism. Gout can be caused by several factors, namely heredity, age and unhealthy lifestyle. So, nursing problems that arise in patients with gout are acute pain, impaired physical mobility and lack of knowledge about gout. In the event that it is necessary to carry out professional nursing care aimed at preventing gout. In carrying out this senior practicum, the authors carry out nursing care for patients with gout with non-pharmacological management, namely the application of holistic basis care using complementary therapy, namely massage therapy to reduce pain when uric acid levels are high. Senior practicum is carried out for 4 weeks starting from July 3-28 2023 with a series of activities to determine senior practicum titles to nursing evaluation and completion of senior practicum reports. Nursing care was carried out on 5 patients with gout with the main complaint of pain in the joints. The results of the implementation showed that from 5 patients there was a decrease in pain after the massage therapy technique was carried out for gout pain.
