dc.description.abstractResearch on the Eating Habits of Red Devil Fish (Amphilophus labiatus) in the Silahisabungan Waters of Lake Toba, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra Province, was carried out in April – June 2023. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of food and how the food habits of red devil fish in the waters of Silahisabungan Lake Toba, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra Province. The method used in this study is a purposive sampling method with sampling once every month at each station. The total number of red devil fish samples was 236. The red devil fish (Amphilophus labiatus) belongs to omnivorous fish tend to be herbivores. Where red devil fish use phytoplankton as the main food, plant pieces as complementary food, while zooplankton, insects, and pieces of fish bones as additional food.en_US
