Kebiasaan Makan Ikan Bilih (Mystaecoleucus padangensis) di Perairan Danau Toba Kecamatan Silahisabungan Kabupaten Dairi Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Abstract
Lake Toba is the largest lake in Indonesia, the Lake Toba area is surrounded
by seven districts, namely North Tapanuli Regency, Simalungun Regency, Karo
Regency, Dairi Regency, Samosir Regency, Toba Samosir Regency, and Humbang
Hasundutan Regency. Bilih fish (Mystacoleucus padanensis) in Lake Toba is an
introduced fish that is often found in rivers connected to Lake Toba. The aim of this
research is to determine the food habits and types of food consumed by bilih fish
found in Silahisabungan District, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra Province. The
method used in this research is a purposive sampling method with samples taken
once every month which was carried out in March-May 2023. The number of bilih
fish samples obtained was 321 individuals. Bilih fish are omnivorous fish that tend
to be herbivorous. Where bilih fish use phytoplankton as main food, litter as
complementary food and zooplankton, insect body parts, moss as additional food.
