Peran Dukungan Keluarga dalam Kualitas dan Kebermaknaan Hidup pada Lansia di Pusat Pelayanan Orang Tua Sejahtera (PPOS) Sukamakmur

Abstract

The Sukamakmur Prosperous Parents Service Center (PPOS) is a family partner in caring for elderly parents, serving and caring for elderly parents. Through the Sukamkmur Prosperous Elderly Service Center (PPOS), it is hoped that families will continue to pay attention to the elderly in ensuring their quality of life. This research focuses on looking at the role of elderly families in achieving quality and meaningful life for elderly people living in PPOS. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods by collecting data through interviews and direct observation of the objects studied. In the research, researchers went directly into the field and saw firsthand the role of family support in the quality and meaning of life of elderly people living in PPOS. Half of the elderly in PPOS are elderly who still have families and the other half of the elderly have families but do not pay attention to the elderly and there are those who do not have families at all. However, elderly people who have families do not fully get a good quality of life because there is no communication between the family and the elderly. In this case, elderly people who have a family and have a good supportive relationship from their family will definitely get a better quality and meaning of life than elderly people who have a family but have no support and elderly people who have no family at all.
