District is the second largest banana producer in Asahan Regen cy. As
a result of banana’s not being able to last long, community innovation emerged in
the Silau Laut District to increase added value through further processed banana
chips so that the result can last longer. Production of banana chips in this area
can reach 6.900 kg per month. The banana chips business in the research area is
still managed traditionally, so this home industry business has the potential to be
managed and developed, therefore it is necessary to conduct a feasibility analysis
of the banana chips home industry business
This research aims to analyze the income and qualification of the household
business of banana chips in Silau Laut District , Asahan Regency. Data analysis
methods are used to analyze production costs and income using financia l
analysis, as well as to ana lyze business feasibility using analysis Net Present
Valu e (NPV Internal Rate of Retur n ( IRR )), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C
Rasio ) and Payback Period PP). From the calculation results with the investment
criteria, the NPV value is greater than zero or has a positive value, namely Rp.
63.436.109 , Net B/C of 2, 003 greater than 1, IRR of 34 ,3 2 % greater than the
prevailing interest rate of 5,26 %, and Payback Period or investment return period
required is 2 year 10 months. So t he results of the study indicate that the banana
chips home industry business in the study area is profitable and feasible to work
