Sistem Kekerabatan pada Komunitas Nelayan di Desa Bogak, Kecamatan Tanjung Tiram Kabupaten Batubara
Abstract
The fishing community is a group of people who come from generations in the Bogak Village area. The fishing community in Bogak Village is a heterogeneous society, consisting of various ethnic groups, including; Malay, Mandailing Batak, Javanese, and others. The Bogak Village community uses the same language to communicate, namely Batubara Malay as the Bogak Village community calls it. in Bogak Village, Tanjung Tiram District, Batubara Regency, they are coastal communities who have lived in the area for a long time..
This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach. The descriptive qualitative research approach in this research is that researchers examine problems that require more in-depth study, such as the potential and constraints of kinship in fishing communities. The problem solving carried out is through stages by collecting primary data and secondary data, processing primary data to obtain potential regarding the kinship system of the fishing community in Bogak Village, Tanjung Tiram District, Batubara Regency. The researcher also made observations and interviews were presented according to what was informed to the researcher. The research was carried out from March 2023 to June 2023.
The results of this research show that the kinship system in the fishing community in Bogak Village, Tanjung Tiram District, Langkat Regency occurs because of: First, the marriage system of the Bogak Village community which includes types of marriage, marriage conditions, stages of marriage, partiesinvolved in marriage. Second, because of the existence of kinship terms and manners which consist of terms and manners of the nuclear family, terms and manners of the extended family, terms and manners of the Bogak Village fishing community. Third, due to changes in the kinship system in the fishing community in Bogak Village, which consists of changes in the marriage system, changes in terms and manners. And fourth, discussion.
