Abstract
Ovarian cyst is a disorder of the female reproductive organs which is one of the most common gynecological benign tumors found in women during their reproductive years. Clients with postoperative ovarian cysts will experience problems related to pain, bleeding, high risk of infection, difficulty in mobilizing, lack of self-care and other problems that will interfere with the client's needs. The method used is a case study approach in postoperative ovarian cyst patients. The number of postoperative ovarian cyst patients in this case was 2 people with Mrs.S aged 71 years and Mrs.N aged 61 years. The duration of case management of nursing care for the two patients with postoperative ovarian cysts is 3 days consisting of patient assessment, determining nursing diagnoses according to patient priorities and complaints, making interventions, implementing them for patients based on the interventions that have been made, and the latter evaluates the patient. The results of the assessment up to the evaluation carried out on both patients, that patients with postoperative ovarian cysts experience acute pain, physical mobility barriers, are at risk of infection and lack of knowledge related to their disease. Nursing care provided to both patients, namely, teaching relaxation and distraction techniques to reduce pain, helping patients perform early mobilization, performing wound care to prevent infection and providing health education regarding nutrition and prevention of postoperative wound infections at home, and providing information through health education to patients about ovarian cysts. The results of the evaluation carried out on the two patients were that acute pain was reduced, the patient could perform early mobilization, the risk of infection was reduced, and the patient understood the information provided through health education and the two patients gave a good response. It is hoped that young women, women of childbearing age, and women who have experienced menopause will maintain their reproductive health in order to guarantee comprehensive survival as individuals and couples.
