Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan dengan Prioritas Masalah Nyeri Akut di Lingkungan IX Kelurahan Tanjung Rejo Kecamatan Medan Sunggal
Abstract
Old age (elderly) can be regarded as the final stage of the development of human life. Elderly is the age group in humans who have entered the final stage of their life process. One of the non-communicable diseases that are often experienced by the elderly is hypertension. Hypertension is a condition where the systolic blood pressure is greater than 140 mmHg and the diastolic is greater than 90 mmHg Headache is a problem that is often felt by people with hypertension. One of the non-pharmacological therapies to reduce pain is a deep breathing relaxation technique consisting of slow, rhythmic chest and abdominal breathing which has benefits as an acute and chronic pain reliever by doing it constantly. The purpose of this study is for students to be able to apply hypertension nursing care to the elderly with acute pain as a priority in Environment IX. Tanjung Rejo Village, Medan Sunggal District. Respondents in this case study research involved three elderly people with acute pain nursing problems with a medical diagnosis of hypertension. Determination of respondents is done by assessment and interviews. after being given nursing care to the three respondents it was found that the headache nursing problem was resolved. The results of providing education on deep breathing relaxation techniques can reduce the level of pain felt by the elderly.
