This thesis describes the comparison between projectsBelt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the World Maritime Axis (PMD) in Indonesia's national interests. BRI is a mega project from China which aims to create connectivity between countries in Asia, Europe and Africa. The concept provided by the BRI project is infrastructure development in the land and sea sectors by providing financial loans to each country participating in the collaboration. On the other hand, the PMD project is continuing to develop the maritime sector in order to advance the economy and overcome problems in the Indonesian maritime sector. The project focuses more on port development and inter-island connectivity. The research method used is a qualitative research method using qualitative descriptive methods. All data in this research was collected using literature study techniques. Infrastructure development from these two projects is already underway in Indonesia. However, in this case, Indonesia seems to be more in favor of the BRI project than PMD. It can be seen from the increasing number of BRI projects in Indonesia, while PMD development is still not progressing.en_US
