Kandidasi Calon Anggota Legislatif Perempuan Partai Keadilan Sejahtera Daerah Pemilihan III Deli Serdang pada Pemilu Tahun 2024

Abstract

This study analyzes and describes the Candidates for Women Legislative Candidates of the Prosperous Justice Party in Deli Serdang Constituency 3 in the 2024 Election. This study aims to find out how the selection process of the Sejahteara Justice Party, Deli Serdang Regency in selecting candidates for the Women's Legislature of the Prosperous Justice Party, especially constituency 3. The type of research used is qualitative research methods and uses in-depth observations and interviews and literature studies to explore the Candidates for Women Legislative Candidates of the Prosperous Justice Party for Deli Serdang Constituency 3 in the 2024 Election. The theories used are political parties and political candidates. The results showed that a concrete step for gender equality in politics was the establishment of a quota of 30% of women's representation in candidacy for legislative members at all levels in article 65 paragraph I of Law No. 12 of 2003 concerning General Elections. Candidates are one of the important components of the political process. The Prosperous Justice Party uses two recruitment strategies, namely the pattern of individual recruitment and the pattern of expected institutional recruitment. The Prosperous Justice Party can win the political contestation by getting the highest number of seats in the Legislature and the highest number of votes in the 2024 Election with the aim of the welfare of the nation and state, especially in the Deli Serdang DPRD.
