dc.description.abstract | Hypertension is a circulatory system disorder that causes an increase in blood
pressure above normal, namely systolic pressure> 140mmHg and diastolic pressure>
90mmHg (Triyanto, 2014). According to data from the World Health Organization
(WHO) in 2018 it shows that around 26.4% of the world's population has hypertension
with a ratio of 26.6% of men and 26.1% of women. Approximately 60% of people with
hypertension are in developing countries, including Indonesia. The purpose of this
senior practicum is to apply nursing theories and concepts in managing and providing
nursing care to families with hypertension. Nursing care was carried out on July 4
2023 – July 28 2023 for two families with hypertension by helping families to
recognize family health problems by providing health education about hypertension,
educating families in making decisions, caring for families by providing herbal
therapy, modifying the environment, and helping families in utilizing health facilities.
The results obtained after the intervention, families are able to recognize health
problems, families are able to make decisions about appropriate health actions,
families are able to care for sick family members, families are able to modify the
environment, and families are able to take advantage of health service facilities. It is
recommended for families to be able to care for family members with hypertension. | en_US |
