Anxiety is a problem that can be experienced by human beings from younger to older age. In this condition, the teenagers who live in orphanage come from various cultural backgrounds, past experiences, and different environments. This leads to the teenagers who live in orphanage experiencing a greater risk of anxiety. The changes in parenting, environmental adaptation, and accepted rules can cause pressure on the teenagers themselves. It makes the teenagers feel less confident and tend to experience anxiety about the future and the lives they are living. The purpose of this research is to carry out a nursing care application of self-talk therapy to reduce anxiety in teenagers. The location of this practicum activity is at Pembangun Didikan Islam Medan Orphanage. This self-talk therapy was given to 5 children aged 13-18 years and was carried out on July 03-29, 2023. After the therapy, the results showed that children who can reduce their anxiety can show a calmer and more open attitude, so they are able to apply the therapy well.en_US
