The first education that children encounter is their parents. However, not all parents understand the importance of education. In reality, the family is a place where communication is ineffective. The Department of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Medan Johor District, Medan City in 2022 stated that verbal communication violence is a current problem. Based on data from the Medan City Central Statistics Agency in 2023, Pangkalan Mahsyur Village is the district with the largest population in Medan Johor District. This research method uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and correlation methods. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of verbal and nonverbal communication violence on adolescents' self-disclosure. The data collection technique is probability sampling with 370 samples in Pangkalan Mahsyur Village. The data shows that the verbal communication violence variable, the yelling dimension, obtained a value of 38.9%. The nonverbal communication violence variable, the facial expression dimension, obtained a value of 41.8%. In this study, it was found that verbal communication violence had a greater influence than nonverbal communication violence. The results of the research show that the hypothesis H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted that there is an influence of verbal and nonverbal communication violence on self-disclosure of teenagers in Pangkalan Mahsyur Village, Medan City with a large influence of 5.1%. This means that there is a low category relationship between verbal communication violence, nonverbal communication violence and adolescent self-disclosure.
