Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by increased blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia) due to impaired insulin secretion in the pancreas gland. Diabetes mellitus can cause several complications, one of which is diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic neuropathy is a microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus. Diabetic neuropathy is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in people with diabetes mellitus. Examinations that can be done to determine the presence of diabetic neuropathy in DM patients are through examination of Diabetic Neuropathy Symptom (DNS) and Ankle Brachial Index (ABI). Management that can be done to reduce the value of neuropathy (DNS) and increase the value of ABI is through diabetic foot exercise therapy. The aim of implementing diabetic foot exercise therapy is to reduce the value of neuropathy (DNS) and increase the value of ABI in patients. The therapeutic intervention of diabetic foot exercises and DNS and ABI examinations were carried out 4 times. The results showed that before the diabetic foot exercise therapy was carried out, the DNS value for both legs 3 decreased to 0, while for the ABI of the left leg: 0.82 it increased to 1 and for the right leg 0.9 it increased to 1.4.
