dc.description.abstract | Elderly is one of the conditions that experience various organ function declines including cardiovascular changes, decreased respiration, decreased cells, decreased reproductive system, decreased digestive system, decreased musculoskeletal, decreased vision and also decreased. Getting old is a decline in several aspects of life which include physical, psychological, and sociocultural changes, as a result of the aging process and environmental factors, the elderly become more susceptible to disease and the risk of accidents such as falls. So that this condition becomes a risk of falling which results in the elderly easily experiencing health decline. The purpose of applying nursing care theory is to prevent the risk of falling in the elderly. Interventions are carried out by providing education, in the form of leaflets, educational videos and also other supporting educational media regarding the risk of falling, risk factors for falling and how to prevent falls in order to improve body health. The results obtained after the intervention, the elderly are able to know the importance of preventing the risk of falling, the elderly can be aware of what is the risk of falling, and are able to modify the environment so that it is safe and comfortable for the elderly to improve health. | en_US |
