Sidikalang District is one of the areas affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The North Sumatra Covid-19 Task Force, as of June 2 2021, Dairi Regency is one of the districts in North Sumatra with Covid-19 red zone status with a high risk of transmission. The Sopo Sahat Martua Building is one of the places that is often used for traditional wedding receptions, religious holiday celebrations, party celebrations or so on and is one of the buildings where all activities are adjusted to health protocols. The aim of this research is to find out how the community adapts health protocols at the Sopo Sahat Martua Building and what social practices emerge as a result of changes in habitus. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used was a process of observation, documentation and in-depth interviews with several informants. The theoretical basis used is the social practice theory by Pierre Bourdieu where (habitus x capital) + domain = practice. In particular, this analysis focuses on looking at the habitus that exists in society in influencing various forms of community activity that are supported by capital. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that community adaptation is related to health protocols in the Sopo Sahat Martua building, Sidikalang District. Researchers examine the theory of social practice by Pierre Bourdieu in terms of habitus, namely the application of 5M through health protocols. By providing health protocols by the Sopo Sahat Martua building management as well as direct supervision from the government, this has created a sense of fear and belief that complying with health protocols is very important. So the habitus of betel nut is replaced by eating sweets and there are changes to traditional events carried out in the building.en_US
