Penerapan Metode Simple Additive Weighting (Saw) dalam Keputusan Pemilihan Jurusan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Deli Serdang

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Deli Serdang (MAN) is one of the schools in Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. This madrasa routinely selects majors for its new students every year. Choosing this major is intended so that students can complete their education according to their interests and abilities. Because many students choose majors based on following friends. Decisions were made to select majors for new students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Deli Serdang using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method. The data that will be used are scores for Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and Religion subjects. Based on information obtained from the new student acceptance committee, the number of departments at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Deli Serdang consists of three departments, namely science, social studies, and RELIGION. This major is determined by students after being promoted to class XI, where students will be determined to major based on the grades they got in class By using the simple additive weighting (SAW) method, it can help to facilitate the acceptance of new student participants according to the majors they are interested in. Research using this method obtained 100% results from 3 departments. Science major 30%, social science major 20% and religion major 50%.
